Drinking red wine on Mars may protect against muscle atrophy

A new study by researchers at BIDMC, including Dr. Mary Bouxsein, have shown that resveratrol, a natural ingredient in grapes and blueberries, may protect against muscle atrophy and preserve muscle function under partial gravity conditions. New Publications: Congratulations to Authors!

Congratulations on the publications of two new manuscripts! ‘In vitro injection of osteoporotic cadaveric femurs with a triphasic calcium‐based implant confers immediate biomechanical integrity’ was published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Research (link).   ‘Influence of soft tissue on bone density and microarchitecture measurements by high-resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography’ was published in Bone (link).
